Sean Alwardt

Sean is a cybersecurity and risk management professional who has spent over 30 years leading and building secure programs in national security and critical infrastructure environments. He has worked in the defense and financial sectors with Fortune 100 companies Boeing, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup. Currently, Sean is the Director of Global Information Security for ACI Worldwide, a real-time payments software and services provider, and he also serves on the board of a technology venture company.

Born and raised in southern California, Sean currently resides in Texas, where he serves the local community as a member of his city’s Planning and Zoning Commission as well as supporting veterans’ organizations. He especially enjoys mentoring young people who are interested in cyber security, helping to not only prepare them technically, but also with the soft skills that are required to work strategically with different stakeholders. Sean's approach to mentoring is informed by his experiences as a young adult serving in the United States Army, where he honed valuable skills in teamwork and leadership within a diverse environment.
